Description
C. Gerhardt’s innovative SOXTHERM® is a fully automated Soxhlet Extraction System that is 4x faster than the traditional technique. Fast and versatile, the system provides accurate, reliable results and is easily upgradable. SOXTHERM automates and accelerates traditional Soxhlet extractions, freeing the operator’s time for other tasks. The instrument features an automatic solvent recovery system, allowing them to be reused for several runs and reducing chemical costs.

With options for a 2-, 4-, or 6-place system in two versions (micro or macro), SOXTHERM offers throughput options to fit your laboratory’s needs. Up to 4 units can be linked in series, allowing up to 24 samples to be processed simultaneously.

German engineered for safety, the SOXTHERM is a robust, dependable instrument that continuously monitors all process and safety parameters. A front door made of safety glass provides an unobstructed view of the flasks and their contents, while protecting the operator from hot surfaces.

The system can be operated from the small MULTISTAT controller or a PC running SOXTHERM Manager. Both can monitor and control up to 4 individual units simultaneously. MULTISTAT allows you to program and save up to 20 different extraction methods, as well as set start times for unattended extractions. SOXTHERM Manager provides an array of capabilities including operation of the system, method programming, optimization of extractions, diagnostics and documentation.

When combined with the HYDROTHERM Acid Hydrolysis System,both free and chemically bound fat can be determined in any matrix.
